Bunkering in Indonesia
Bunkering in Indonesia

Bunkering in Indonesian waters is a key element in supporting global shipping in one of the world’s most strategic regions. Indonesia, made up of more than 17,000 islands, is central to the major shipping lanes between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. The country’s location provides enormous bunkering opportunities, providing easy access to fuel for ships navigating key global shipping routes such as the Straits of Malacca and Sunda.

Indonesia: The Hub of the World’s Shipping Routes
Indonesia is a major maritime nation, and its waters include key shipping arteries such as the Strait of Malacca, one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes, through which more than 100,000 ships pass each year. Ports such as Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Surabaya, Belawan and Batam provide high-quality bunkering services, meeting ship owners’ fuel demand and minimizing berthing time.

The Port of Tanjung Priok is the largest port in Indonesia, handling over 7.5 million TEU and over 2.5 million tonnes of bunker fuel annually. Surabaya is an important port in Java, bunkering over 1.2 million tonnes of fuel annually. These ports play a critical role in shipping, connecting Asia, Australia and Africa to global markets.

Our strengths: reliability, efficiency and competitiveness

  1. Competitive prices and supply stability:
Through our long-term partnerships with major fuel suppliers in Indonesia, we provide some of the most competitive bunker fuel prices in the region. In 2023, over 500 vessels chose our bunkering services in Jakarta and Batam ports, saving them a total of $3 million in fuel costs. We offer a variety of fuels, including Marine Gas Oil (MGO), Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), to suit every customer’s needs.
  2. Prompt service at key ports and offshore:
Our bunkering services are available both in port and offshore, reducing vessel layover times. At Tanjung Priok Port, bunkering times are typically no more than 4-5 hours, 20% faster than most competitors. We also offer offshore bunkering at locations such as Batam, providing maximum flexibility for vessels transiting the Strait of Malacca.
  3. Clean Fuel and IMO 2020 Compliance:
We are proud to offer fuels that comply with international standards, including IMO 2020 regulations. Over 75% of the fuel we supply in Indonesia is low sulphur, allowing our customers to comply with environmental regulations and reduce emissions. In 2023, our LNG deliveries exceeded 15,000 tonnes, allowing our customers to reduce CO2 emissions by 45,000 tonnes, contributing to the global fight against climate change.
  4. 24/7 Operation and Minimal Waiting Time:
We understand that for shipping companies, time is money. Our team works around the clock to ensure bunkering at any convenient time and minimize waiting time. In 2023, the average waiting time at our ports was less than 3 hours, which is 25% faster than the regional average. Over 600 vessels used our services in 2023, and many of them noted the efficiency of our service as a key advantage.
  5. Modern equipment and professional team:
We use the most modern equipment and bunkering tankers to ensure the accuracy and safety of all operations. Our team, with many years of experience in the industry, ensures that each bunkering operation is carried out as efficiently and safely as possible. All operations are carried out in strict accordance with international safety standards, which minimizes risks for our customers.
  6. Flexible payment terms and loyalty programs:

For our regular customers, we have developed convenient payment terms and loyalty programs. We offer discounts of up to 10% for customers ordering more than 1,500 tons of fuel per month, and up to 15% for volumes over 5,000 tons. In 2023, more than 50 shipping companies took advantage of our discounts, which allowed them to save a total of more than $1.2 million.
